Invoices for school meals at the IRS

Feb 14, 2017 | 0 comments

If you have bills for school cafeterias and canteens, you can deduct them from the IRS, to be delivered later this year. Although it is a measure provided for in the 2017 State Budget, it is still on a transitional basis, so the system still assumes the expenditure in the category of e-billing restoration and not as education expenditure. In order to benefit from the deduction of these expenses, the taxpayer will have to add up the invoice values of the canteen/office expenses and, when submitting the IRS declaration, he will have to enter them manually, together with the remaining expenses related to education. Only in 2018, it is planned that companies providing meals in schools will soon be identified as a “school meals provider” with the Tax and Customs Authority.
