The Government is preparing a 50% reduction in the IRS for the first 3 to 5 years for young people who wish to return to Portugal. This measure will be targeted at young people who left Portugal between 2011 and 2015 and will return to national territory in 2019 or 2020.
In addition to this reduction, they will also have the possibility of deducting the costs incurred for the return journey, installation or even the new home from their IRS declaration.
